Two taken to hospital after car hits lamppost

Two people were taken to hospital after an accident at the Tollgate Hill Roundabout on Saturday morning (December 8).

Firefighters from Crawley and Horley were called after a car hit a lamppost at 10.46am.

They used hydraulic equipment to release a woman from the car.

South East Coast Ambulance (SECAmb) confirmed it sent two ambulances and a car to tend to one casualty with a leg injury and another with chest pain.

Both patients were taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill.
