UPDATE: Death at Horley station ‘not suspicious’

Network Rail has confirmed the death of a person who was hit by a train at Horley Station is not being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services, British Transport Police and staff from rail operator Southern are on the scene.

It has not been officially confirmed if the person was male or female.

Southern has warned travellers to expect severe delays and cancellations.

A number of replacement buses are operating between Redhill and Three Bridges.

South West Trains are accepting Southern passengers on train services via Guildford, Dorking and Havant and Southeastern are accepting Southern passengers on domestic train services via Tonbridge to Hastings and Ashford Intl.

TfL buses are accepting rail ticket holders on services between Purley and Redhill and Metrobus are accepting rail ticket holders on services between Redhill and Crawley via Gatwick and Three Bridges.
