British Transport Police (BTP) are working to formally identify a man who died after being hit by a train at Horley Station.
Emergency services were called to the station at 5.05pm yesterday (May 28) and the line was closed.
A spokesman for BTP said: “Officers from BTP and Surrey Police attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 5.05pm and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“Medics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are working to formally identify the deceased and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
