Video: Oxfam Crawley burglary will cost store ‘thousands of pounds’

Have your say

Crawley’s Oxfam store manager said the shop would lose thousands of pounds after burglars raided his store.

Colin Pitt, 39, from Broadfield, said £300 was taken after thieves broke into the shop safe on the shop’s second floor overnight on Thursday (May 8).

The store will remain closed today and he hoped to reopen it tomorrow.

Mr Pitt said the closure and repairs would cost the store thousands of pounds.

He said: “It’s just a despicable act, it’s stealing from very very poor people who have nothing at all.”
