Dozens of families flocked to Tilgate Park today (Sunday) as fresh snowfall made for perfect sledding conditions.

Sledges were fashioned from signs, dustbin lids and tea-trays as children made the most of the snow which has been falling all day - some more successful than others.

And after three days of these conditions, the compacted snow and ice provided great conditions for a swift descent.
