VIDEO: Winter is back!

Waiting for Video...

Just as we thought spring had well and truly sprung, winter took another dig at the year.

People in Crawley woke to a light dusting of snow - but the weather became more severe as the morning wore on.

There were only a few school closures:

Crawley Down Village CofE Primary School, Three Bridges Infant School, Turners Hill CofE Primary School, and The Oaks Primary School Nursery.

On the trains, there were delays and cancellations while Metrobus announced the following changes:

At 11.20am, Route 1 was not serving Creasys Drive or Tollgate Hill; Route 20 was not serving Coachmans Drive Central, Coachmans Drive South or Creasys Drive; Routes 82 and 84 were suspended; routes 281/291 were not serving Crawley Down.

All other services were operating to normal routes but were subject to delays due to traffic and weather conditions.

Observer photographer Jon Rigby was captured this video of conditions in Tilgate before heading to Tilgate Park where adventurous souls were taking their sledges to the slope and, in the Nature Centre, some of the young animals were receiving their first experience of snow.
