VOLUNTEERS were rewarded for their continued efforts to support young families in and around Crawley.

Home-Start Crawley organised a charity lunch at the Crowne Plaza hotel to thank its 70 volunteers.

Miriam Bowers, Home-Start business development manager, said: “We support families who are struggling for one reason or another for a period of time to help them regain confidence.

“Our volunteers are very committed and do a fantastic job so we wanted to show we appreciate them.”

Home-Starts’ trained volunteers provide support to parents who have children aged under five.
