Volunteers kick-start Worth Park restoration
After seven years of planning, a multi-million pound restoration project to return Worth Park to its former Victorian glory is under way.
On Wednesday (November 7), scores of volunteers mucked in to help clear trees and shrubs in preparation for work on the distinctive Pulhamite stonework next year.
The five-year project is the result of a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £2.4m, with Crawley Borough Council contributing £975,000.
