Volunteers walked for miles to help clear up a charity shop after it was flooded. Staff at the Save the Children shop in The Boulevard made their way to the store on foot after bus services were cancelled.
The services stopped running because of flooding across town. The store flooded over the Christmas holidays. Volunteer staff helped clear the store up after it was repaired and given a “mini facelift”. Sarry Harrild, retail manager for the South East, said the store enjoyed a bumper week of sales after it re-opened on February 1.
