Walk on the dark side

A macabre guided walk through Crawley’s less than illustrious past will be held next weekend.

On Sunday evening (March 17), Malcolm Campbell will lead the walk, titled The Dark Side of Crawley.

Those brave enough to take part will learn about bygone burial practices, public hangings and the notorious acid bath murders.

Malcolm said: “All will be revealed to the unsqueamish at 7pm, when the walk starts outside Crawley Library (on Southgate Avenue).”

Admission costs £7 for adults, £4 for accompanied children, payable on the day.

Reservations are not necessary and the walk will last approximately one hour and 20 minutes. Dogs on short leads are permitted and the route is wheelchair friendly.
