A woman was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and possession of cannabis following a crash in Gossops Drive at 1.30pm on Monday (February 11) when a silver Mazda sports car collided with a lamppost sited on a traffic island.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said a woman was arrested nearby shortly after the crash on suspicion of dangerous driving and possession of cannabis. Paul Edwards, of Broadfield, who took this picture, stopped to offer assistance.
