Woman taken to hospital after deer goes through car windscreen

A woman was taken to hospital with head injuries on Thursday evening (November 8) after her car collided with a deer which went through her vehicle’s windscreen.

The incident happened at 6pm on Paddockhurst Road, in Turners Hill.

Four fire engines, police and an ambulance attended the scene.

Firefighters worked to free the woman from her car after she had become trapped in her seat.

The woman in her 50s was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
