Work to start on new Primark in Mall

PRIMARK will be open in County Mall by November 2013.

Mark Haynes, County Mall manager, said contractors would be on site in the next three to four weeks to start work.

He said: “The whole programme will take just over a year because work needs to be done to create space and move the car park ramp.”

Planning permission has been granted to create the expanded unit, near Debenhams, by relocating the existing car park ramp and the amalgamation of eight shops.

Mr Haynes also said there had been interest from a men’s toy and gadget shop to take over either the Past Times, Clinton Cards or Game unit.
