Worth Park Lake has re-opened to the public after restoration work to the surrounding area nears completion.
The restoration project at the park, off Milton Mount Avenue, Pound Hill, was delayed by recent bad weather but work will finish after the ground conditions improve.
Cllr Duncan Crow, borough council cabinet member for Leisure and Culture, said: “The recent poor weather has slowed progress a little but the project is still on time and on budget.
“Worth Park is a beautiful public space and I’m pleased to see these major works restoring the area to its former Victorian glory.”
The work at the lake included repairing the dam to protect the area from flooding. The park’s five-year restoration project is due to finish in a year’s time.
