Worthing man dies following car crash

AN elderly Worthing man has died following a car crash near Ashington.

The 88-year-old was driving alone in his green Ford Fiesta at around 5.10pm on Monday (June 29), but came off the road on the bend near the junction of Spear Hill on the B2133.

The man was cut from his car by Storrington and Horsham firefighters, under the guidance of paramedics, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the crash should contact police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial 469 of June 29.
