An Indian restaurant in Ifield took its kitchen to a food and drink festival at the weekend.
Zari Restaurant and Lounge, based in Ifield Drive, was invited to take part in the live cooking demonstration at The Live Cookery Theatre in the Carfax, Horsham on Saturday (August 31) as part of The Big Nibble, a two day food and drink festival.
Zari’s Indian chef showed the audience how to create Lucknawi Korma and gave away the recipe for visitors to try out at home.
Almara Miah, owner of Zari said: “Our mission is to try and help educate the English pallet to the taste of real Indian food, and the event at The Big Nibble was the start of this adventure.
“We believe in keeping the ingredients locally sourced, and our recipes authentic. We are so excited about the future.
“Zari to date has been Sussex’s best kept secret, but not anymore, tongues are talking and people are starting to realise what a gem is to be found, please do come and try our food for yourself.”
The restaurant is holding a Bollywood night on September 16.
