Man attacked with bottle near Crawley Town stadium

A man was attacked with a bottle as he walked home from work in Crawley.

Police said the 26-year-old was walking along Winfield Way, outside the Stadium, when he was attacked by two men.

The assault happened at 6.30pm on Monday (March 10) .

The victim managed to run off after being hit.

The first attacker was of mixed race, aged 15 to 18, 5ft9ins to 5ft10ins and of medium build.

He was wearing a blue hooded top with the hood up and distinctive red-framed glasses.

The second attacker was white, aged 17 to 20, 5ft10ins to 6ft tall and slim.

He was wearing a white or light-coloured hoody with red detail and light tracksuit bottoms.

He had overlapping front top teeth.

PC Mark Robinson, of Sussex Police, said: “This area is popular with users of the Crawley Town astroturf pitch and is also a key bus route so hopefully people may have seen this incident.
