Man found ‘seriously injured’ in Crawley

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found collapsed on a footpath in Spring Plat, Pound Hill, Crawley with two broken legs on Wednesday (June 10).

The man had been walking home after visiting nearby shops when he fell or was assaulted at 6.10pm.

He was admitted to St George’s Hospital, Tooting in London, for treatment.

It is currently unclear if the man’s injuries resulted from him being attacked or suffering a fall.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the man or any suspicious behaviour, including any people or vehicles making off from the area.

They are asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1288 of 14/6.

Alternatively, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.
