Man hits head after 15ft fall in Gatwick

A man in his 50s struck his head after falling 15ft down a stairway in Gatwick Airport.

Emergency services were called to the South Terminal’s upper forecourt near a WHSmith at about 5.30am on May 16.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the man was unconscious after suffering a head and arm injury from the fall. Paramedics took him to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
