Man stable after being stabbed in the chest in Crawley


A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in the chest in Crawley.

Police were called after he was found in a doorway with a stab wound to his chest in Langley Lane, Ifield, on Wednesday (April 23) at 11.15pm.

The air ambulance was called and paramedics accompanied the 41-year-old by road to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where he is in a stable condition.

Police have arrested a 43-year-old man, who is known to the victim, for assault.

He is currently in custody and enquiries are continuing.
