A man was taken to hospital after police found him hiding in his loft following reports of a disturbance.

Officers and paramedics were called to an address in Worth Road yesterday (May 29) at 12.55pm.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said a report had been received that a resident in his twenties was causing a disturbance.

He added: “Officers searched the premises and found him in the loft area.

“He was safely brought down less than hour after the call, without anyone being injured, and was taken to East Surrey Hospital for a precautionary examination.

“No arrests were made and there was no evidence of any damage.”
