Two men have appeared in court after an attack in Crawley Leisure Park where acid was thrown over the victim.
Michael McPherson, 26, of Aldrington Road, London, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and assault by beating.
He pleaded not guilty to having an offensive weapon, but will not be tried on this charge.
Lee Bates, 25, of Halston Close, London, pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent, having an offensive weapon and assault by beating.
The pair entered their pleas at Lewes Crown Court on Monday November 16.
Bates was bailed and will face a trial on the week commencing March 7.
McPherson was remanded in custody. He will be sentenced after the conclusion of Bates’ trial.
The charges relate to an acid attack outside Crawley Cineworld. The 27-year-old victim was assaulted between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday August 30.
