Artist Joe Farrington created the artwork which shows a zip revealing bricks underneath the purple and yellow paint covering his neighbour’s home.
The 51-year-old retired art teacher also made another neighbour’s property look like a jigsaw piece.
His wacky creation has been greeted by residents after the appeared in Bishop’s Castle, Shrops.
Dad-of-three Joe said: “There was real excitement in the town when the zip was being done everybody wanted to know what was going behind it.
“People kept asking me and some of their suggestions were quite risky, as you might imagine.
“Bishops Castle is an eccentric rural town and people here love quirky art. All the reaction I’ve heard is positive.”
