One person trapped in Crawley crash

A person was trapped in a vehicle following a two car crash along a major Crawley road.

Emergency services were called to Southgate Avenue at about 2.20pm today (March 23).

Two fire engines were sent after reports a person was trapped in one of the vehicles.

The person had been freed before crews arrived, the fire service said.

Police and paramedics also attended.

An eyewitness said parents were experiencing long delays as they picked up their children from the nearby Thomas Bennett Community College.
