Pound Hill Junior School has been rated ‘good’ in its latest Ofsted report.
And the behaviour and safety of pupils at the school in Crawley Lane was rated ‘outstanding’ in Ofsted’s report, published on April 29.
It stated: “During the inspection pupils were unfailingly polite and impeccably behaved.”
It said pupils’ achievement in reading, writing and mathematics was above average and much of the teaching was outstanding.
It stated the headteacher ‘wisely managed’ the school after a number of staff members left on maternity leave.
Malcolm Willis, headteacher, was ‘delighted’ with the report’s findings.
He said: “Pound Hill Junior has always focussed upon the child as an individual. We show that we care for each and every child.”
