Parking fares have been slashed at some of Crawley’s car parks in a bid to encourage more visitors to the town.

NCP, the UK’s largest car park provider, has introduced a new flat rate of £2 for all day parking at all five of its car parks in Crawley.

The reduced fare will be in place in the car parks at Boulevard East, Boulevard West, Kingsgate, Kilnmead and Cross Keys.

Previously, customers would have paid £4 more for a 24 hour stay at some of the sites. The new price means some customers can now save up to 67 per cent on parking.

NCP said the new reduced fee is aimed at drivers who are parking for more than two hours.

All five car parks are patrolled, have won safer parking awards and together they offer nearly 1,000 spaces for customers to come and park in a busy town and visit the shopping centre, or local businesses.

Mark Kraft, head of operations at NCP, said: “We are really excited about this new tariff.

“It is vital to NCP that we support the local community and businesses by offering relevant parking deals for the people who will really benefit from it.

“We have worked closely with our customers to find a deal that would help them, and on their feedback have now launched this new one price only rate across all our Crawley car parks.

“We hope that it will put more change back into our customer’s pockets, and in turn will encourage customers to visit Crawley and hopefully stay longer in the shops and restaurants, without having to clock watch and worry about the parking costs.”
