Police ask burglary victims to claim stolen property

Police have asked burglary victims to claim items of stolen property which had been seized but not linked to crimes.

Sussex Police believe the property was taken in thefts across the county last summer.

The items included electrical equipment, jewellery – including the ring pictured – and watches.

Detective Constable Alex Chaszcaewski said: “We have been able to show that some of these items were stolen but there are many more that we cannot be certain about yet.

“If you had items stolen in or before August, have a look on the recovered property section of the force website to see if we have some of your valuables.

“It could mean you get your possessions back and we get evidence that could help us prosecute those who took the items from you.”
