A large bottle containing money for charity was stolen from a Crawley social club.

A man entered the Ram sports and social club in West Green at around 3.30pm on Thursday September 10.

Police said he took a four-litre bottle of charity money from the reception counter, containing about £500. He hid it under his t-shirt and left.

He was described as white, in his mid-thirties, about 6ft and slim, with dark hair combed to the left.

He had a distinctive patterned tattoo on his right forearm.

PC Tamsin McNab said; “This was a nasty and heartless theft and we are sure someone will recognise the man.
