A Crawley student will perform on stage at the world-famous Shakespeare’s Globe in London.

Rob Hadden is one of just 42 students chosen to take part in the Sam Wanamaker Festival, the biggest celebration of young acting talent in the UK, on March 29.

Rob, a third year student at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, will join student actors from the UK’s 21 top drama schools, plus students from the USA and China.

The students enjoy an intensive weekend of training with Globe Education professionals, before sharing scenes by Shakespeare and his contemporaries in a grand performance on the famous Globe stage to a sell-out crowd.

Rob, along with fellow colleague Leah Walker will represent their drama school with a scene from Shakespeare’s Richard III. The performance is the culmination of the weekend’s workshops and masterclasses, aimed at helping the students to explore their craft.

Rob said: “I’ve been a massive fan of Shakespeare since a young age. I can’t wait to perform on the same Globe stage as such great actors who have also performed there.”
