Talking war for Crawley Museum Society

Martin Hayes, the county local studies librarian, will be giving a talk for Crawley Museum Society describing how local people contributed to the war effort during the First World War.

Martin will present his research on The Great War 1914 – 1918 focusing on the West Sussex Home Front and Civilians at War.

The talk will take place at Crawley Horticultural Society’s Hall, in Ifield Avenue, West Green (next to the ambulance station) at 7.30pm on Tuesday January 27.

Visitors are welcome to attend and the entry fee for non-members will be £3.
