Crawley Town head coach Dermot Drummy is looking to get his summer rebuilding done early - with two more signings expected imminently.

Following the arrival of Dutch winger/forward Enzio Boldewijn at the start of the week, another two players have undergone medicals at Reds.

These permanent signings are with a view of Drummy ending Crawley’s culture of capturing a large number of loan signings.

It’s been a busy three weeks for the former Chelsea and Arsenal coach, who is still talking to existing squad members and working on off-the-field structures.

He said: “We are still negotiating with some players and some have gone back to talk to their agents, others have been released.

“We are negotiating and trying to sign other players, we want to bring in players that will want to come on board and work with us.

“Myself and Matt Gray have players that we like and where and when we can get them, we will get them in. I will leave a space for loans as clubs do not let them out until last knockings, but maybe for only one or two faces. We are looking for players that we can sign.

“A couple have had medicals, but they haven’t signed yet, hopefully that will be early next week. I am also trying to sort a training ground and structure the dressing room. The strength and condition and analysis side.

“Hopefully with work on the pitch we can get that to a level I have worked at and the other side just scaled down a bit. Money is obviously an issue but I want to be professional.

“The fans are coming in to do some work on the ground and I appreciate that. I hope they have a good break and come back and see what we have been working on and can enjoy it.”
