UKIP has revealed its prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Crawley.
Chris Brown, who is married with two young children, said he decided to get into politics after becoming frustrated with the mainstream parties.
He said “I’m an ordinary person with real life experience and I believe that’s exactly who the people of Crawley want to see in Westminster.”
Town centre regeneration, tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, helping low-income families and the return of A&E services and a new baby unit are key priorities in his campaign, he said.
He added: “People are fed up with MP’s that put their party’s interests first. I’ve been listening to the people of Crawley, and their concerns are key priorities in my campaign.”
The Crawley UKIP branch has appointed Allan Griffiths as its chairman.
The branch’s first public meeting will be held at the Bewbush Centre, at 7.30pm onFebruary 20.
UKIP MEP Diane James will cut the ribbon at the opening of its campaign office on The Broadway at 2pm.
