UPDATE: School to reopen after power failure

An electricity supplier has apologised to Three Bridges Infant School after a power failure forced it to shut today (Thursday November 22).

UK Power Networks said an underground cable fault had caused the power cut.

Engineers managed to restore the supply at 2pm and the school is due to reopen tomorrow (Friday November 23)

A fault created some problems yesterday from 5pm.

A trench was excavated this morning to install 10 metres of new cable.

A UK Power Networks spokesperson said: “UK Power Networks sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused to Three Bridges Infant School after an underground cable fault.”

No other buildings were affected.
