A teenager has been treated for whiplash injuries and shock following an accident on the M23.
Police and paramedics were called to junction 9 (Gatwick) at 4.30pm today (Wednesday February 26) after two vehicles collided.
One of the cars struck the central reservation.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A 19-year-old woman driving the vehicle that hit the central reservation was treated at the scene by paramedics for whiplash and shock.
“The 36-year-old man driving the other vehicle was not hurt.
“The third lane of the motorway was closed while the vehicles were removed.
“The road was fully reopened by 5.40pm.”
