VIDEO: Crawley Town sign Quinn from Halifax

CRAWLEY Town boss Steve Evans has captured the signing of Halifax Town's defender Adam Quinn for a fee of £5000.

The Reds boss made the signing late on Tuesday afternoon but unfortunately the FA could not get him registered in time to play against Lewes the same evening.

Evans admitted Quinn was one of the players on his summer transfer hitlist and is delighted he has decided to join the club.

Crawley Town co-owner Phil Jarman stumped up the 5000 from his own pocket to pay for the central defender who will give some added depth in defence.

And the club nearly bagged a double swoop in bringing former Leicester City striker Trevor Benjamin to the club on the same afternoon.

But, after discussions on Tuesday, Evans told the Crawley Observer that Benjamin wanted "a longer deal" than what the club could offer him.

Evans has also hinted that there could be two more possible signings this week.
