A ‘terrific’ turnout at Crawley Festival’s High Street Live event saw 1,500 people gather in the town centre.
Thousands enjoyed live music acts from two stages in the High Street yesterday (Sunday June 21).
Tony Witton, Crawley Festival events manager, said: “It was terrific. It was a very proud moment to see people coming and enjoying what we’ve worked on with everybody else.”
Tony, 50, of Furnace Green, said the event showed the annual High Street Live events were attracting a gathering in town.
People brought their own deck chairs from home to it for the first time.
The fifth annual High Street Live event was better decorated than previous years thanks to sponsorship from Gatwick Airport.
High Street bars and restaurants were busy and served food outdoors during the event, which ran from 2pm to 10pm.
