Project helps teach apprentices a trade

The door has opened on an innovative project which created a home as well as work experience for young people with the YMCA.

In September, Crawley Borough Council handed over one of its Three Bridges properties so that an apprentice from the YMCA could refurbish it with help and advice from a professional mentor.

Connor Dearlove, 19, has been working on the house for one and a half weeks, receiving one-to-one tuition from a professional decorator.
