Waiting for Video...

Members of the National Union of Teachers were in Crawley to explain their reasons behind next week’s planned strike action.

The group gathered in Queens Square today (Saturday March 22) to hand out leaflets to shoppers expressing their concerns about pay and their workload as well as the number of new teachers leaving the profession in the first five years.

Strike action is planned for Wednesday (March 26).

Northgate Primary School has announced it will be partially closed that day.

Plum class as well as Apple, Lime, Maple, Blackthorn and Rowan classes will be closed. All other classes will be open.

Check back for updates.
