Video: Trading Standards raid house in Crawley for fake T-shirts

Waiting for Video...

Trading Standards officers raided a house in Crawley this morning (March 26) and seized equipment used to make counterfeit T-shirts.

The owner, who Trading Standards officers said had been selling fake branded T-shirts on eBay, was not in.

However officers had a warrant to enter the house, in Ifield, and seize the goods.

They found about 60 boxes of T-shirts, equipment to print fake logos onto the shirts and a lap-top containing the image files.

Team leader Richard Sergeant said: “We’re still logging all the goods and seizing the goods at the moment but it’s been brilliant, a great success.

“We’ll investigate all lines of inquiry. We’ll interview the person who’s selling these goods and making the goods and then we’ll have to make a decision on whether formal action commences.”
