A wealth of companies from across the aviation industry will be exhibiting and presenting, including NATS, BALPA and various flying schools, along with Virgin Atlantic’s own pilots and engineers, who will be on hand to offer professional advice and careers guidance.

The airline recently launched its first pilot training programme in conjunction with CTC Aviation and received record applications, with nearly 8,000 people applying.

Dave Kistruck, general manager of flight operations, said: “The popularity of our pilot training programme has demonstrated there’s a huge appetite for a career in aviation, which makes it even more exciting for us to host an event for young enthusiasts to discover more about the industry.

“If you’re serious about a career in this sector, there’s no substitute than speaking first hand to those already doing the job.”
