Chief Inspector Justina Beeken, Sussex Police district commander for Crawley, presented the town’s 16 community wardens with accreditation certificates which allow them to continue to perform their duties in the borough.

The wardens, employed by Crawley Borough Council, have undergone additional police vetting and attended a training course on their powers, which include seizing alcohol or tobacco from anyone under age. They received the certificates on January 21.
