Spring might be around the corner – but do not put your rain macs away just yet.
Because this week lots set to be a washout, with rain expected almost every day across the county.
Today it is predicted to be cloudy all day, with the rain kicking in at 9pm this evening and continuing throughout tomorrow and into the early hours of Tuesday.
But it is not all doom and gloom, as at 9am the sun should reappear, staying with us through the day with some scattered cloudy spells. Someone obviously knows it is Pancake Day.
What a difference a day makes, however, as Wednesday brings with it constant showers until around 6pm.
Scattered showers should be expected throughout Thursday, heralding three days of solid rain starting on Friday and lasting throughout next weekend.
In East Sussex the average temperature is 10 or 11 degrees Celsius all week. Temperatures are slightly cooler in West Sussex, averaging eight or nine degrees.
Light breezes are predicted throughout the week, so at least we can use our umbrellas.
