A woman was taken to hospital after a car crashed into a lamp post.

Police and paramedics were called to the collision in Hawth Avenue at 10.25am today (Wednesday January 27).

A police spokesman said the driver suffered minor injuries.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said paramedics treated at the scene for an hour before she was taken to Crawley Hospital.

No other person or vehicle was involved.
