A woman who went missing from a hospital in Crawley last week has been found safe and well, say police today (Saturday).

Margaret Rule, 52, from Farnham, had been missing since leaving Langley Green Hospital on Saturday January 2 and a major police appeal launched.

But police say this morning that she returned to her home address in the early hours of this morning.

A spokesperson at Surrey Police said officers wanted to thank the public and the media for their assistance with the search.
