LETTER: Charities supported by Crawley mayor

Thank you for your coverage of my charity event held in the Walled Garden at Tilgate Park but can I correct an error.

The aims of the Springboard Project, one of the two charities I’m supporting, is not to help young people into employment as reported (worthy though that is) but to help disabled children and young people. Based at their play centre in Crawley, Springboard aims to support disabled children and young people to enjoy active social lives and in the process help build life skills, independence and wellbeing. My other charity was correctly reported as being Crawley Community & Voluntary Service (CCVS) which represents, offers professional support, training and advice to all voluntary groups in Crawley.

The Mayor of Crawley, Cllr Chris Cheshire
