Just why is it councils like Reigate & Banstead are so determined to go ahead and destroy every little piece of rural greenery to build a 173 acre business park that is not needed.
To put such a large business park in Horley so close to those in and around Crawley, all of which have many empty warehouses and office blocks is beyond belief. Apart from that fact there is just not the road and local infrastructure to cope with such a large development. Our roads become car parks now in rush hour periods now without the extra traffic that would be caused. Then we read who is behind all this, good old Gatwick Diamond Group who seem determined to turn the whole area around Gatwick Airport in to a concrete jungle just like all the land surrounding Heathrow and they won’t rest until they have achieved it. This is neither wanted or needed and Reigate and Banstead Borough Council should go back to the drawing board and think of better ways of spending their money without destroying our countryside.
