PROFESSIONAL boxer Ben Jones is aiming to give his career a boost by clinching two wins in two weeks.
It begins this Friday when he takes on former Scotland ABA featherweight champion James Ancliff.
The contest will be held over six rounds at York Hall, in Bethnal Green, east London.
Jones, 27, who is originally from Northgate, will then defend his International Masters Championship belt in front of his home town fans at K2 on Saturday, February 27.
He will be top of the bill in a show being promoted by his trainer and manager, former British and Commonwealth super-bantamweight champion Michael Alldis through his company Gloves On Promotions.
Jones has won eight, drawn one and lost only one of his 10 fights.
He said: "James Ancliff is an in your face fighter who has had close fights with good fighters. I feel good and hope to beat him by the fifth round."
Tickets for the K2 show are on sale from Ben priced £30 and £40.
