THREE Bridges CC lost their first match of their campaign to Chichester by four wickets in the Sussex Cricket League.
Home side Chichester put Bridges into bat and dismissed them for just 84. New left-arm bowler Gary Austerberry worried the visitors most with figures of seven for 25.

Newly-promoted Ifield and Crawley ended their Sussex League debuts with a draw and a defeat respectively in Division Three.

Playing in the West regional division, Ifield made 201-6 dec, with Greg Barton top scoring with 79. Opponents Goring were nearly dismissed, thanks to Russell Jacob's five for 75 on his return to the club from Roffey. Goring's last-wicket pair held on for a draw at 175-9.

Crawley were playing in the East regional division and lost to Seaford (180-4) by six wickets after setting a target of 179 all out.
