CRAWLEY Town have appointed a former Vice President as their new company secretary.
The Reds have appointed long term fan Mr Alan Foot (CIMA) who will take up a position alongside the board of directors.

Foot is also company secretary to the Southern Football League.

Chairman Vic Marley said: "Alan Foot is a talented man wit
h the highest integrity and we are delighted he has joined us.

"He has a wealth of experience in business and football. At this time he is also the company secretary to the Southern Football League so we will benefit greatly from his experience in football administration and finance generally.

"The board of directors here will take his advice on all matters where appropriate and I have no doubt he will play a major part in our evolution. There is no doubt the integrity of the board of directors I have put together has been enhanced with this new addition.

"On behalf of everyone here at Crawley Town Football Club I welcome Alan Foot on board. He is already hard at work on our behalf but excellent progress is already being made."

Alan Foot admitted that he is now able to take up the position at the club after the departure of the previous owners.

He said: "I am delighted to accept the position of company secretary at Crawley Town Football Club."

"In the past I never felt comfortable enough to take up this position when offered but given the integrity and make up of the new board it made my decision easy.

"I have a real love for this football club and want to see us in the football league but that is easier said than done.

"I am already working hard to bring everything up to date and that has been no mean task but I expect to have that all concluded within the next few weeks.

"The Chairman has made it clear it needs to be finalised but obviously in a diligent manner."

"Everything at the football club is being structured properly and it is nice to be involved."
