STEVE Evans is in talks with Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock about signing a couple of loan players at Crawley Town.
Both players are understood to have played in Crawley's 1-1 draw with Palace on Monday night at the Broadfield Stadium.

And the Reds boss is also in discussions with the Watford assistant manager about making another addition to the squad.

Evans also announced the signing of goalkeeper Nicky Morgan as understudy to Simon Rayner.

Evans said: "At this time we are actively looking to strengthen the squad.

"Young Nicky Morgan has joined us but I believe we still need to add some strength and quality to what we have put together already.

"We are excited by the lads we have brought together and we have a dressing room where the banter is brilliant.

"In my opinion that is very important and is in every successful dressing room.

"I have been speaking to Neil Warnock again this morning about two players in particular and he is thinking it through.

"He always does analyse his options and I am confident rather than hopeful something will happen.

"I will speak to him again when we return from Scotland to progress the deal if possible.

"I have also been in touch with Malky McKay, the assistant manager at Watford, about a loan player and again I am hopeful that we can do something there also."
